Jason Evans
Teacher

Work:

Mr. Evans is a tenured teacher with over 20 years experience. He comes from a family of educators. His biggest influence was his father who retired as an Associate Superintendent here in the state. Mr. Evans' first love and appreciation for math as a teacher was nurtured in high school where he was involved in things like "Future Teachers of America" (FTA) and served as a teacher assistant in order to begin gaining classroom experience prior to college. Despite graduating with a degree in middle grades education, Mr. Evans' has never faulted from the love and appreciation for the opportunity to challenge students to be self sufficient thinkers and problem solvers no matter the level of mathematics.
Mr. Evans has taught math, science, social studies and served as a behavioral intervention specialist. After a short absence from the classroom and public sector, a return was inevitable. He found his way into Franklin County teaching 8th grade math at Cedar Creek Middle School. This was the time his craft really began to flourish with the support of Mr. Evans' colleagues and the students he taught. His last year at Cedar Creek culminated with the highlight of his educational career when he was named "Teacher of the Year" for the 2021-2022 school year.
Today Mr. Evans extends his tenure and professional growth at Franklinton High School as a versatile member of the math department.
